PAYMENT METHODS

If the visa application is lodged at VFS Global visa application centre

Payment in Indian rupees is accepted in cash at VFS Global visa application center.

There also is the option to make the payment online at the time when booking the appointment for lodging the visa application.

Attention! At VFS Global visa centre the service fee is collected. The amount of the service fee is 22 euros and it is collected in Indian rupees. Children under 6 years old are exempted from paying the service fee.

If the visa application is lodged at the Embassy of Estonia

Visa fee may be paid either:

  • by CARD in EUR/INR (amount of euro (€) equivalent of Indian rupees). Visa fee has to be paid while lodging the application at the Estonian Embassy.
  • by BANK TRANSFER to the bank accounts of the MINISTRY OF FINANCE of Estonia:

Subject/Description of Payment: Review of visa application (Name, Passport number)

The reference number must appear first in the explanation field of the international payment order.

If paying by bank transfer, be sure to make this payment at least 5 working days before coming for your appointment at the Embassy.

Attention! The Embassy of Estonia does not accept cash payments.

 

EXEMPTIONS

The following persons are exempted from paying the visa fee:

  • holders of diplomatic and service passports;
  • family members (spouse, children, parents) of citizens of Estonia;
  • family members (spouse, children, parents) of citizens of EU/EEA country or the Swiss Confederation;
  • children under 6 years of age;
  • persons invited by Parliament or the Estonian Government;
  • persons who intend to attend meetings of the United Nations or its organizations, the Council of Europe, the European Union or the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to be held in Estonia;
  • school children, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purpose only of study or educational training;
  • representatives of non-profit organisations aged 25 years or less participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organised by non-profit organisations;
  • researchers from third countries travelling for the purpose of carrying out scientific research as defined in Recommendation No 2005/761/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 to facilitate the issue by the Member States of uniform short-stay visas for researchers from third countries travelling within the Community for the purpose of carrying out scientific research;
  • certain categories of applicants according to Visa Facilitation Agreements.
