WHAT IS E-RESIDENCY?

- Estonia is the first country to offer e-Residency – a government-issued digital identity and status that provides access to Estonia’s transparent digital business environment
- E-Residency allows digital entrepreneurs to manage business from anywhere, entirely online
At the appropriate time after submitting your e-Residency application, you will receive an email, saying that you Estonian e-residency card has arrived at the Embassy of Estonia in New Delhi. The email will also have a link where you can book an appointment for picking up specifically picking up the e-residency card (important! Do not confuse this with the registration site for visa-related bookings!) You will need to bring a proof of the registered appointment and your passport with you to the appointment in Delhi.
Whether e-residents have the right to apply for a visa?
E-resident cards are only meant for an online use. Business expansion does not fall under D-visa/resident permit. If you have a working business and/or active company in Estonia dealing with good and/or services and business partners in Estonia who invite you for a official business meeting or important event, you can apply for a Schengen visa.
